Additional suggestions:

Help us keep our sanity!

Please check entries to make sure you have included all the pertinent information and then double check your math :-) Overpayments will go to Lab Rescue of NC, and while we are happy to help out a worthy cause, we will have to hunt you down for any underpayments.

*New rule* As of January 1, 2010, the AKC requires that all dogs be individually registered by the day of the show. There is no longer a 30 day grace period for showing puppies on litter registration numbers.

*Newer rule* Effective July 1, 2010 Clubs will have the option to further divide the 12-18 Month Class into two age groups consisting of twelve months of age and under fifteen months, and fifteen months of age but under eighteen months. We have chosen this option.

Remember: while we all know a 12-15 or 15-18 month Labrador is still a puppy, in the eyes of the AKC, these are ADULT classes.

HOST HOTEL

A block of rooms have been reserved at the Comfort Inn, 3725 Avenue of the Carolinas (off Carowinds Blvd), Fort Mill, SC 29715 (803)548-5200. Mention LRC Piedmont. Special rate plus NO FEE for dogs in rooms.

The motel is about 5 minutes from the show site. There are also other motels available at this exit (I 77, exit 90 Carowinds Blvd., just over the SC border), but the Motel 6 is the only other one allowing dogs in rooms.

We've recently heard good things about the dog-friendly Baymont Inn and Suites in Rock Hill, a few miles South of the Carowinds exit.

SHOW SITE

Directions

The show building, situated on 20 acres near the North Carolina-South Carolina border, is owned and maintained by the Piedmont Kennel Club of Charlotte. The building was constructed specifically for dog shows and the lighting is exceptional, even for black dogs.

We feel very fortunate to be able to rent this wonderful space for an indoor, stand-alone specialty. Please help us keep the show grounds clean.
